各位學長:

It is my pleasure to begin the new term of Los Angeles Pui Ching Alumni Association 洛杉磯培正同學會, 2010-2012 with the launch of this newsletter for our organization. Its purpose is to communicate and inform members with upcoming activities and events of interest to our general membership. We welcome additional suggestions for worthy news, cultural and recreational activities to share with all.

ALUMNI CONTACT INFORMATION
One of the main purposes of our Association is to provide good communication and networking among our alumni. Currently, we have about 400 names of alumni on record residing in the greater Los Angeles area, but keeping the addresses and phone numbers up-to-date is a constant work in progress and need your help.

We wish to use email as the principal means of contacting you. To help us update your information, please send us your phone numbers, address and email address to the return address in the above. To maintain privacy, we will use 'blind copy' when we email i.e. no one will be able to access your address unless you give us permission to do so. Eventually, we will publish a list of all Alumni in our directory without contact information. If someone wants to contact you, we will let you know, and it's up to you to contact them back.

Please send your current contact information and that of other inactive alumni with whom you are in contact, to receive future newsletters.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES:
The other main purpose of our Association is to have fun together and we have planned the following events for all to participate:

FINANCIAL REPORT
$20,000 of the $20,700 balance from the previous administration's funds was donated to four Pui Ching schools in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Macau and Toi-San, respectively for their building funds. This decision was made by the 2008-2010 officers (上介職員) in a vote with Johnny Pan, Albert Cheung, S.K. Woo and Joseph Wat who voted 'FOR' and Norman Wong who voted 'NO'. Frankie Ho abstained. The vote was taken on July 11, 2010. The remaining $600 (approx) is to be transferred to the 2010-2012 administration.

It is my honor and pleasure to serve you and the LAPCAA.

Sincerely,

Norman Wong 黄文輝, 1960 正社
